Pilates is the foundation for all programs offered at Interlude. This class will introduce you to the STOTT PILATES® foundation principles on the Mat and the Reformer. Learn to activate your core and work your body efficiently to build strength, improve your posture, and prevent injury. We recommend you attend 5-10 “Basics” classes if you are new to the practice of Pilates. Once you have these fundamentals under your belt, you “unlock the door” to many class options on the schedule.
Mat with Props
Props (Fitness Circle, Flexband, Foam Roller, Toning Balls, Pilates Edge, Mini Flex Ball, etc.) are generally introduced after the Pilates Basics classes. Small equipment is integrated into this mat-based class to add variety and to challenge both strength and coordination in preparation for intermediate level exercises.
No props, no toys, no distractions! This intense, moving meditation is an amazing workout for any seasoned Pilates enthusiasts looking to refine their practice and connect with their breath and body on a deep level. Must be able to successfully complete all mat exercises at the Essential Level. Please talk to our trainers if you are unsure of your eligibility.
